Now he who supplies seed to the sower
and bread for food will also supply and
increase your store of seed and will enlarge
the harvest of your righteousness.
2 Corinthians 9:10

History of Seed of Love

On February of 2009, the youngest son of a missionary couple was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease. This is a rare condition that affects many organs of the body, the blood vessel walls and mostly affecting the heart. Hospitalization and extensive treatment were required to resolve this disease. They need more than hundred thousand to avail of the IVIG vials because the cost of one vial is 8,500 pesos and they need 15 vials but they dont have that big enough money to buy all that vials so they ask the permission of the doctor  to go out first from the hospital. They went to Dunkin Donut,  then while they were eating, the word of God reflects on the mirror  saying “MAY THE GOOD LORD SHOWER ALL HIS BLESSINGS UNTO YOU” and this word speaks to the couple and give them assurance that GOD will help them in their situation. They were in the semi – private room in a government hospital where in they shared it with five other patients. There the couple was able to share their experiences on how their son was fighting the rare case and how hopeful they were with his recuperation with the love and financial support from family, friends, and their local church. With the hope, their son was cured. Yes! indeed! GOD IS GOOD! and FAITHFUL! to their lives. Yet again the couple’s faith was put to a test. On the 11th of September 2009, their son was stricken with life – threatening Dengue Fever and was again rushed to the Hospital. They were able to reserve a semi – private room but the doctor’s advice to be transferred to a charity ward where they had to share with ten other patients. This was another opportunity for the couple to share their prior challenge just seven months earlier and remained hopeful and had unwavering assurance in their son’s present condition. In good faith, he has well and able to return to his responsibilities as a son, diligent student and playmate. In the five days of admission in the charity ward, the couple came to notice the realization of these families that were less fortunate and had no means to give their love ones proper medical attention to be made well. Even in cases where there is a great anticipation they had just dwindled away. This devastating realization became a burden to this couple that something must be done, that there is hope even in situations where it may seem hopeless. They had a desire to help the less fortunate in whatever means possible that out of the love they had for others. The Seed of Love Ministry was founded.
